Every year during the month of April, Aveda salon and spa professionals, employees and guests work together to raise funds for grassroots organizations that protect biodiversity and address environmental issues around the world. The Earth Month campaign focuses on a specified environmental topic each year, helping to raise awareness around the issue, cultivate and educate supporters, and contribute funds to dedicated non-profit conservation organizations.
This year Planet Hair is teaming together with the other Aveda salons in the Wichita area to raise funds global and local clean water projects with an Aveda Walk for Water. On Sunday, April 18th at 9:45 a.m. we’ll meet at Watson Park for a nice stroll, and then celebrate Earth Day with excellent prizes like Aveda gift baskets, service gift cards, and other fun stuff from Planet Hair and other participating salons.
You can get involved and help us raise money:
- Donate money by buying a raffle ticket for $1 from Planet Hair. We’ll draw the names of three winners on April 30th for make-over packages including a cut, color, brow grooming, and make-up application.
- Sponsor us for the walk and get cool stuff. Donate $12 and receive an Aveda Light the Way limited-edition soy candle. Or for $22 you can get the candle and an entry to win prizes at the walk, and for $32 you get a candle, entry, and an awesome Aveda Earth Month t-shirt to show the world you believe in clean water.
