Suzie is Certifiable

We are thrilled to announce that our own Suzie has recently completed the rigorous certification process to become an Aveda In-Salon Hair Color Educator! Over the course of two years, Suzie has taken all the required classes to learn to teach our team how to keep up with trends and be hair color superstars. After taking all these classes, Suzie proved at a recent trip to Kansas City that she’s ready to teach, earning the prestigious position by acing her final test, and blowing away the practicum by doing a sample class for her peers. This qualifies Suzie to continue training with Aveda, to be qualified to do training for other salons in the Wichita area, and to take her show on the road to other markets.

“Before I went to Cosmetology School, it was my goal to be an art educator, but life got in my way. This opportunity allows me to realize my dream, combined with my love of doing hair,” Suzie told us.

Now that she has reached this goal, she’s started thinking about where this may lead her. She’s excitedly anticipating the next level certification process, when she’ll be able to share her knowledge with more learners. She’s especially pleased with the way the Aveda Educator Program is structured, giving her the chance to try on teaching with our team, to see how much farther she wants to take this. While her plans don’t include lots of travel to teach in other cities, she excited to see how moving up in the program will enhance what she’s doing and her role at Planet Hair.

Suzie wants everyone to know, “People believed in me and have invested in me. I want to make sure they know how much I appreciate the opportunity, and how much they’ve helped me achieve my dream.”
